...but most importantly, I am Bridget
I was born in Redmond, Washington and grew up in Kirkland, Washington, so I have spent most of my life in the Seattle area. I graduated from Lake Washington High School in 2014, but back when I was in high school I never thought that I would earn my Bachelor's degree from the University of Washington, the school that was practically in my backyard. I was one of those people that always knew that they wanted to move away for school, which was why I ended up going to Willamette University in Oregon right after high school. However, Willamette ended up not being quite the right fit for me and I left halfway through my sophomore year there.

When I made the decision to leave Willamette, I didn't have a solidified plan to transfer to another school, so I ended up moving back home to Kirkland. I immediately enrolled at Bellevue College and planned to take classes there until I figured out another school to transfer to. Truth be told, I had always thought about going to UW for graduate school. When I was in elementary school, my mom was in pharmacy school at UW and every so often she would bring me to campus. I always enjoyed those visits to UW. I ended up taking some time off from school to work for awhile before I eventually transferred to UW in the fall of 2017. I have been presented with countless opportunities during my time here, many of which I am showcasing in this portfolio, and I am ultimately so glad that I decided to transfer to UW.

With all of that being said, here are a few other interesting facts about me.

-
I have one younger brother, Blake, who also goes to UW.
-
I have been to 8 countries: Canada, Iceland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Italy, the Netherlands, and the U.K.
-
I am the shortest person in my family.
-
One item on my bucket list is to visit every continent.
-
I am currently training to ride the RSVP bike ride from Seattle to Vancouver, BC in August.
-
Some other hobbies of mine are running, writing, hiking, drawing, cooking, listening to music, and swimming.
-
I can run 10 miles without stopping, but at the moment I still cannot do 5 good pushups.
